Sharing Thanksgiving traditions:
The "Karen Hunter Show" team shared their Thanksgiving family traditions.
He stated that he always toasts, "Here's to good health!". "When you're sitting around the table with your family and your friends and everybody around you, take a moment and really realize it 'cause that's really what...what's special is family, what's special is friends, what's special is, the people that you work with and that's what...that's what counts."
Special Guest: Bill Telepan, Executive Chef, "Oceana Restaurant"
BT: "The reason why we have this obesity epidemic that we have, is because of processed foods and sugary drinks. If you get the kids to drink water, and you get the kids to eat real food, they will be healthy. They will be able to think better."
"Why can't we...as a nation, feed our kids well?"
Bill discussed his involvement with the organization, "Wellness In The Schools".
Special Guest: Angela Shelf Medaris, "The Kitchen Diva"
Anglela informed us that South America was one of the largest buyers of slaves.
"That's why so many parts of South America like Brazil look like sort of little Africa".
Angela also gave us some AMAZING tips for our Thanksgiving meals. To hear more about it, get the SiriusXM App and listen to the "Karen Hunter Show" On Demand.
