TERI IJEOMA:
Difference between trading & investing:
An investor is someone who is trying to invest in a company for the long run. They like this company and think this company is going to be around for a long time. They are more likely investing for retirement, for longer term.

An active investor is investing for income. They actually have some goals and want to make a travel trip, pay off debt, or something were they need money quicker. It could even be your side hustle. Instead of getting a side job, start trading your money.
Karen: How do we get people's mind to change and shift? Because for so many years, we were the commodity. When we got here, we were on the auction block. We were the things that were traded on the stock market. We were traded. Now we put a trillion dollars into this system for other people to use to trade, to be wealthy. How do we shift that?
Teri: (referenced the parable in the bible, "Parable of the Talents")
A lot of us are that person. We only have that one talent that God gives us. We go and bury it because we're afraid and when he comes back, we give him that one talent back. We didn't have the tenacity and the courage to go and trade with it to make more.

In terms of changing our mindset, we just have to realize that God did not give us a spirit of fear. We just have to try. We serve a God that is strong enough that no matter what we do, he'll be there to help us. We just have to step out and try it.
I love the CNBC app. You can put a watchlist on it and put companies that you like in there and start watching how their stocks trade. Yahoo Finance is good too. They have a wonderful earnings calendar. It will tell you who is reporting earnings everyday. Even if you're a long-term trader, you need to know this because your stocks will move a lot on the day that their earnings are reported.
So, go to Yahoo Finance, look at their earnings calendar and jot those dates down on your calendar. Also, on CNBC, do a watchlist and start watching how the stocks move.
