Element of Sankofa (West African Principle):
"We should look to history to guide how we proceed in the future."
Understand the past, to know where you are today, so that you can plan to go forward.
"If we heap on too much stress and you're not paying attention to how you're feeling, biologically, stress causes all sorts of changes in the body but we stress the system enough that we don't make enough serotonin, which is a brain chemical that you need to not feel depressed. And we can't produce it and then it starts to dip down. And then all of sudden, we can't sleep or we sleep too much. We can't eat or we eat too much. We don't feel the same. We feel disconnected. We can't get ourselves to shower. And then all of sudden, we're underwater.
Go get help. Learn how to reconnect with the anger (and sadness) of having too much to do and all these various emotions. Problem-solve on how to take something off. Ask for help. A lot of women don't know how to do that.
