The microwave heats foods way too fast. Any kind of heating changes the structure of food but the microwave does it almost 400 times faster than any other method. It causes the molecules to hit too fast and damage it. It changes foods, especially meat products, to carcinogens. It not only takes away some of the nutrients, it turns meat and animal products into carcinogenic foods. For other foods, it takes away some of the vitamins and minerals.
