Karen: What can people do if they are relatively healthy right now? Should they be taking a regime of Vitamin C everyday?
Dr. Hervé Damas:
Vitamin C is recommended to have approximately 500 to 1000mg daily (2,000mg max). If you go above 2,000mg, you may have some side effects. They are usually gastrointestinal. It might be diarrhea, nausea, cramps, headaches. If you're going to start taking high doses of Vitamin C as a prophylactic, just remember that some of the side effects can mimic some of the early signs of COVID-19.

There are a number of things that you can take to boost your immunity (garlic, turmeric, ginger). There are a number of herbs that we can use without having to go overboard on one.
