Difference between trading & investing:
An investor is someone who is trying to invest in a company for the long run. They like this company and think this company is going to be around for a long time. They are more likely investing for retirement, for longer term.
An active investor is investing for income. They actually have some goals and want to make a travel trip, pay off debt, or something were they need money quicker. It could even be your side hustle. Instead of getting a side job, start trading your money.
Dan Soder ("Billions"):
It's hard to learn new things and to try to change.
That's why a lot of people that refuse to change are the most miserable. Capitalism doesn't want you to think. They don't want you to be uncomfortable.
Work and failure are necessary for redeeming success.
You have to embrace failure. If you take it and learn how to process it, other failures become less scary.
Aldis Hodge ("City on a Hill"; "Underground"):
Jamie Harrison (South Carolina U.S. Senate Candidate):
2 Things that my grandparents taught me:
When we buy things, we should really focus on what that company does with our dollars.
I want to align myself with companies that are looking to do social good in the world.
