Notice anything different? New header, new logo, and an archive to the right for previous issues. A friend of mine from Thailand had trouble reading the blog, so I also added a translator tool. I love the cursor feature. After you change the language, you can hover over any word and it will show you the original language in English.
Many of you have reached out to me through text and e-mails. I am so grateful for all of the positive feedback. Last week, I received 2 different messages within 24 hours telling me that they read my blog out loud as a family before going to bed. THIS MADE MY ENTIRE WEEK!!! Shoutout to Alexander!! He's a cute little 10-year old boy that remembered everything from my previous issues. He said, "Now, I have something to look forward to on Mondays!" He is my new #1 fan... but don't tell my kids that.
This blog has really evolved since the first issue. I thought it was just going to be a quick "copy & paste" thing. I NEVER planned on being so personal. What happened? I'm hoping that when I share some of my silliness with you, you'll be inspired to do the same. Then you'll mention it to someone else and then they'll get a little silly too. Eventually, the world will be a happier place and there will be less people getting on my nerves. STAY SILLY EVERYONE!!!
"Morning Pick-Me Up"
In the past, I would occasionally dance with the kids before we left the house. I thought it was a great way to start the day before they faced any stress that might be waiting for them at school. It definitely put me in a great mood too! The song "Magalenha" was written by Sergio Mendes. I fell in love with it years ago from the movie "Dance with Me" with Vanessa Williams. I'm encouraging everyone to play this song before leaving the house today.
Don't just listen!! Dance!!
Dance Like Today Is The Last Day of Your Life!!
I found out that some of my relatives haven't read a single issue of "Pass The M.I.C." and that inspired me to create the following...
exclusively for my readers to share. Enjoy!
Memory Lane: One of the best parts of my childhood was eating "Pillsbury" Slice & Bake chocolate chip cookies. For me, opening the oven door to take the cookies out, was like opening the gates to heaven and I made sure I did this EVERY New Year's Eve. I still continue this tradition but bake my own homemade chocolate chip cookies. It's so hard to save them for the countdown but I did manage to take a quick picture.
